NAVAGRAHA
As the name indicates Navagraha consist of nine planets namely, Surya, Chandra, Mangala, Budha, Brihaspathi, Shukra, Shani, Rahu and Ketu. Among these, Rahu and Ketu are not planets. Rahu is the ascending point of moon and Ketu is the descending point of moon. These nine grahas and their motion influence human life. They affect the happiness, success and prosperity of a person. The good and bad influences of these grahas are due to their specific locations in the natal chart (the time when the person is born). Planets possessing Sattva nature are Jupiter, Sun and Moon. Planets bearing rajas are Venus and Mercury while planets with Tamas nature are Mars, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu. To overcome difficulties and bring prosperity, specific graha is to be worshiped by a person for a particular time period, depending upon the natal chart and the position of grahas at that time.
Outside the premises of sanctum sanctorum, in the North Eastern side is Navagraha deities installed.
“Navagraha pooja” and on first Saturday of every Malayalam month, “Shani dosha pooja” is conducted.
